Introducing THE REF

The Ref. He's a thug stomping, alien fighting bringer of justice. In the city of San Numa, the presence of aliens has thrown the populace into chaos. His sometimes partner, the vigilante scientist Lucy Chung (here, here, and here), gives him access to tech that helps him in their shared mission.

This image is almost a year old. I was holding onto it until I had more of the overall plot developed:

Lucy's mom worked for a large weapon tech company before leaving to start her own. Lucy's dad is a taekwondo master and runs a school/gym.

Lucy is in her mid 20's. Her parents reluctantly help her w/ her mission, mainly because they can't talk her out of it and can't just watch.

The Ref is a locally famous former college football player. Now is mostly broke. Volunteers as a little-league football referee.
