10 Minute Sketch Challenge - Oni Press - D.B. Cooper

I did a 10 minute timed sketch the challenge set forth by @Sketchbattle on twitter. Goal was to pick any character from Oni Press's lineup and do a 10 minute sketch. Here are a couple I did of Brian Churilla's D.B. Cooper character (Awesome mini-series). I actually spent about 12-13 minutes on this first one, so I did another to turn in, which is the second one here.

ROM Spaceknight - Proactive Continuity

This is an image I created for fellow comicbook fan, blogger and prolific twitterer Aaron Meyers. He is using it as a header for his blog, Proactive Continuity. Made using Maya and Photoshop. The Rom model is completely rigged, so look out for some quick animations in the future.

Superman Flying *Update*

Made some minor edits. Redrew parts of the face and made the shading more vivid.

Also created a larger version with a wide background for use as a desktop background here: 1920 X 1080 If you would like a different size for wallpaper, or would like to purchase the full size original for printing purposes, say so in the comments.

24 Hour Comics Day

I gave 24 Hour Comics Day 2012 a shot, joining a group of artists at Legend Comics and Coffee in Omaha. The event ran from noon Saturday until noon Sunday. I thought I had a good plan, but without ever doing it before I didn't complete a 24 page comic. The result is a 14 page comic, with the last page being just pencils. I had 5 pages done by 5pm, 8 pages by 10pm, and it when downhill from there, productivity wise. Overall it was a good experience but I'm not doing it again without a sleep session in the middle. #24HCD

Here are the results and a couple photos. I will update the comic as it is completed. Click the images for a bigger view:

Spider-man Sketches: Round 1

I really like drawing this guy, and I think I need to do it more often. As a little kid I made a lot of Spider-man drawings, but I stopped for some reason.
